  1. Step 1: Back up your data on the Mac that will contain the new software.

    Keep it connected while installing Windows support software. , Then run the application. ,, Click Continue. , Once the installation is completed, quit and relaunch BootCamp Assistant. , Click Continue. , Click Install.

    Recommended 30 GB size for Windows. ,, Leave the drive connected to the computer.

    The Mac will restart once the partition is completed. ,, If not asked anything, skip this step. , Click it. , Finally, click Next. ,, Choose Restart in OS X.
  2. Step 2: Clean the hard drive to ensure that you have enough space to occupy both OSX and Window's systems.

  4. Step 4: Download and install latest firmwares available to your Mac.

  5. Step 5: Close all open windows on the Mac.

  6. Step 6: If using portable computer make sure power adapter is connected.

  7. Step 7: Connect the external hard drive FAT format into the USB port on the Mac.

  9. Step 9: type BootCamp Assistant in Spotlight.

  10. Step 10: Click Continue after reading the introduction.

  11. Step 11: Select Download the latest Windows support software from Apple task on page.

  12. Step 12: Select Install Windows 7 or later version.

  13. Step 13: Drag the slider to adjust Windows' partition size.

  14. Step 14: If BootCamp needs to update USB drive inserted

  15. Step 15: click Continue and allow it to update the USB.

  16. Step 16: Eject the USB drive from the desktop screen only.

  17. Step 17: Begin Windows installation by following the onscreen instructions displayed.

  18. Step 18: If asked which installation to use: Upgrade or Custom

  19. Step 19: choose Custom installation.

  20. Step 20: When asked to install Windows

  21. Step 21: scroll down until you find partition named BOOTCAMP.

  22. Step 22: Click Format then OK.

  23. Step 23: Continue the installation by following the simple onscreen instructions.

  24. Step 24: Click the Boot Camp icon in the system tray.
