Step 1: Wash the styrofoam trays carefully with an antibacterial soap.
Circles, Squares, Rectangles, etc all work well.
Note:
Keep the number of shapes to around 3-5 total. , Jar lids work well for circles, and small boxes or books work well for squares and rectangles.
You can also create your own template from stiff cardboard if you like. ,,, (Shapes are attached to each other by sliding two slits onto each other) , -
Step 2: Allow the trays to dry thoroughly.

Step 3: Determine the shape(s) you want your building block toys to be.

Step 4: Find templates for your shapes.

Step 5: Trace the templates onto the styrofoam.

Step 6: Cut the shapes out with scissors.

Step 7: Cut half inch slits in the edges of your styrofoam shapes to serve as attachment points.
