Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Click the "Start" button and choose "Control Panel."

    Click "Windows Firewall" and then click "Advanced Settings."

    Under the "Actions" heading on the right sidebar, click "New Rule."

    Click the radio button and choose "Next."

    Enter the number "25" in the text box and click the "Next" button. , Choose "Allow the connection" to allow any connection, or choose "Allow the connection if it is secure" to allow only authenticated connections.

    Click "Next."

    "Domain," "Private" and "Public" are all checked by default.

    Uncheck boxes if you want to and then click "Next."

    This is so you can find the rule in the list of rules on the "Inbound Rules" list if you want to edit it later.

    Click the "Finish" button.
