How to Screenshot on an HTC EVO

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Make sure that you are running Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) or later.

   Most HTC EVO phones are running Android
   4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
   
   To double check, go to the Settings application.
   
   Tap on “About Phone” and check which operating system your phone is running.
   
   If you are not running Android
   2.3.4 or later, you will need to use the Samsung Kies application on your PC to download the new operating system.

   Step 2: Navigate to the location that you want to screen capture.

   It can be your home page or a page within your applications. ,, You will need to hold both down for 1 to 2 seconds. ,, Go to the folder labeled “Camera Shots.” You can text or email your screenshot from this folder.
   
   This method is more likely to work on the HTC EVO 3D.
   
   If it doesn’t work, try the next volume button method.

   Step 3: Press down on your Power button.

   Step 4: Press your Home button simultaneously.

   Step 5: Wait for a notification that your screenshot was saved.

   Step 6: Access your screenshot in the Gallery application.
